Our butterflies have arrived!

We were able to witness a couple of butterflies as they emerged from their chrysalis. It was SO exciting!

Victory Garden

We planted onions and potatoes in the Victory Garden on Tuesday. We will harvest them in the fall so we can have stew when we go to Rocky Woods in third grade.

Winter Holiday Party

Our room parents planned an awesome celebration for our holiday party on pajama day. We had yummy treats, made a snowman bookmark, had a "snowball fight", and built a snowman.  Snow much fun!
Don't worry! It was real easy cleaning up the sticky marshmallows from the floor!

Tanglewood Marionettes

The Tanglewood Marionettes came on January 26 to perform Cinderella.  It was a wonderful performance.

Do you want to build a snowman?

January Book Projects

Students read a nonfiction book about an animal and created that animal starting with a box or carton. Check out their creations

They could also choose to "dress up" their animal.  How cute!

Catapults

We've been learning how to write like scientists. Here are a few scientists at work creating an experiment. Which will travel farther off the catapult, a ping-pong ball or cotton ball?
